If we can't explain it simply, then we don't know it well enough.
You can use the windows 2000 Netshell (netsh) command to do some neatly things, including switching your machine between two different networks configurations.
As I said, if you move your machine around a lot, you know the pain of having to reconfigure the network settings (ip address, subnetmask, default gateway and dhcp etc..) so they can continue to talk on the network.

Before the Google deskbar, there was Dave’s Quick Deskbar. The two tools look and act remarkably alike, but Dave’s has a handful of features Google’s doesn’t, and-geeks take note-Dave’s is open source, so you can add your own features or tweak existing ones. (If hacking the tool appeals to you, bear in mind that its underlying code is in Javascript & HTML, with a smidgen of C in the mix, too.)

Why do some pop-ups appear even when the pop-up blocker is on ? The pop-up blocker slams shut all windows that open when you click a link or buttom . But some Web sites install a small program on your hard drive that randomly open pop-ups for its pages – a behavior that outsmarts the blocker and leaves you with a field of pop-up windows even when you’re turned on the blocker.

We are warned that the world is going to meet its end on 2012 as it is mentioned in this movie. I just watched it last night and frightened by it. It will be a good movie for those who like adventure and science. But it is not very fun for those who understand what is really happening in our environment, our resources and our home which is “The Earth”.
